8. Practice using different search engines, such as the ones below.
AfterVote: Search Socially (metasearch engine that takes results from Google, Yahoo, MSN and then weighs them by votes from members)
Clusty (clusters results)
KVisu beta (analyze results with "surfacic map")
KartOO (visual search of web, images, videos, & Wikipedia)
Prefound: Power from the People
Quintura: See and Find beta (tagcloud of results, search web, images, video, and Amazon)

I am very impressed with this selection of Search engines. I was not aware of most of them. I usually just use Google. But, from now on, I want to use these good Search engines. And, I probably will keep them in my del.icio.us account. Thank you! You educated me.
Profound would not display; KVisu only had a page that looked to be underconstruction that was in French; Kart00 was in too small font (I could live with it though); Quintura had a results page like google (almost 1 billion results from my search...yeah it was broad, but still).
I am glad to learn about some more search engines with social networking twists.
If they are so good, will any make it to the Library web sites under "search engines"?
